Motif rebuild and transition plan

Update: With some subtle exceptions, we have completed the transition plan to the new Motif system. This page has been left in the knowledge base as a historical record of the changes.

Motif is getting a new lease of life. This requires replacing the old Motif system with a more modern system. The transition between the old and new Motif will happen in 3 stages, over the next few months.

Stage 1 – Late November 2022 ( ✅ Completed)

The Motif site will be getting a nice new design! The CC2 test page on Motif will link you to all the available ways to administer the CC2: digitally online, or on apps, with the printed kit, or by downloading PDFs.

Once at the digital test experience, you'll need to create your new account. At this stage, the new account only applies to the CC2, allowing you to purchase packs of tests that are usable across online, iOS and Android. Test session results / reports will not be stored by Motif at this point.

Your existing Motif account will still be used for running the LeST, DiSTi, and TERC online, and to see all past CC2, LeST, DiSTi, and TERC test session reports.

Stage 2 – Feb 2023 ( ✅ Completed)

The LeST will join the CC2 on the new system, accessible from the LeST page on the Motif site, available online, in the Apple App store, and Google Play stores. Your new account will be used across both tests.

The old system will still provide the TERC and DiSTi online tests, and past stored results for CC2, LeST, DiSTi, and TERC will be available in the old system.

Stage 3 – April 2023 ( ✅ Completed)

The TERC, the DiSTi, and the DiSTs will be moved into the new system, all under the one account. It's likely these three tests will remain online-only at this stage. This milestone is likely to happen within March.

You will be able to use your old Motif login details to recover your past test sessions from the old system, which will pull them into the new Motif account. You should have no other need for your old account.

New Motif tests will become available in this new system over time, all using the one account, and using a similar paid model.
